Jumpstyle: hard dance pulse made for footwork
Jumpstyle links a fast electronic beat to a recognizable jumping dance. The music needs a firm kick, a clear offbeat or bass response, and short phrases that leave the body enough information to mark each step and change direction.

Make the kick readable
A steady four-on-the-floor kick and a clipped bass or reverse-bass gesture can define the floor. Keep the main synth phrase simple enough to return after a break, then use fills and filters to mark the next eight-bar section. Speed matters less than a pulse dancers can trust.
Write for the feet
Place accents where a jump, kick, or turn can answer them. A brief breakdown can remove the bass before the full beat returns, but do not blur the timing with too much swing. The arrangement should feel like a route through movement, not an undifferentiated wall of hard dance.
