Product Update
Voices on Suno, feature Sofia

Whether you're new to Voices on Suno or a seasoned pro, we want to make sure you get the most out of the feature.

Here are 6 tips to help you craft the most expressive, polished, and uniquely you vocal performances using Voices on Suno.

1. Find a Quiet Place to Record.

Background noise like a TV in the next room, traffic outside or a humming fridge will compete with your voice and reduce the clarity of the recording. Step into a room with a fluffy rug, your car, or quiet space outside. Though you might sound great in the shower, rooms with echoes like bathrooms or hallways might distort the sound. The cleaner your input, the more expressive your output.

2. Practice before you record.

The pros always warm up before they sing. Look up the lyrics and do a practice run before you do the real thing.

3. Don't Worry About Being Perfect.

Seriously. Voices isn't looking for a flawless studio take. It's looking for you. As my choir teacher used to say… better to sing wrong and strong than weak and meek! Record freely, without judgment, and let the technology do what it does best.

4. Record as Long as You Can.

More is more. A longer voice reference gives Suno more material to learn from, which means better, more consistent results across your track. Aim for at least a minute if you can.

5. Match the Voice to the Genre.

A voice that sounds intimate and understated in a folk song can feel flat in a high-energy pop track (and vice versa). Think about where your voice naturally lives. Experiment with pairing it to different genres and tempos to find where it truly pops. Some of the best discoveries happen when you push outside your comfort zone.

6. Have Fun.

Try your voice somewhere completely unexpected like a death metal ballad, a bossa nova banger, a country anthem. The best discoveries happen when you stop overthinking and just play.
