At Suno, we believe the music people make has immense value, and the artists who help make it possible should share in that value.

Today we want to walk through what’s ahead, including new models, new Terms of Service, and a new approach to downloads.
New models coming soon
Soon, we'll introduce a new generation of Suno models, developed in partnership with the music industry. These models are better than anything we've ever released - on every metric we've ever measured. In early testing, they generate outputs faster, deliver higher fidelity audio, and give you more control over your music than ever before.
When the new models launch, all prior models will be retired. The most important thing to know is that everything you've already made will remain in your library. Every song will continue to be playable and shareable, and you can still use existing songs as the basis for covers and remixes. We'll have much more to share when the new models launch.
A new approach to downloads
On September 3, we will introduce the following download limits based on your tier:
- Free: Up to 7 (lifetime) trial downloads
- Pro: 20 downloads per month
- Premier: 60 downloads per month
For Premier subscribers who use Suno Studio, our professional production suite for generating and manipulating stems and samples, there are no download limits.
For users who would like to download beyond their limit, additional downloads will be available for purchase.
What else is changing in our terms?
Ahead of these new models, we will be introducing new Terms of Service on September 3, including:
- Your content and commercial use: We've clarified the rights you have in your content and how commercial use of music generated with Suno works. Songs downloaded from Suno on paid plans remain yours to use commercially or personally.
- Resolving disputes: We've updated how disputes between you and Suno are handled, including updates to our Arbitration Agreement and provisions governing mass arbitrations.
Why do download limits matter?
We believe a healthy music ecosystem is built on human creativity. As our platform grows, limiting downloads will make it harder for bad actors to mass-export music. We are introducing download limits to ensure our platform is used for intentional music creation, while still allowing everyone to create, remix, listen, and share on Suno.
What this means for you
Do the download limits apply to songs I've already made?
Limits apply to all downloads starting September 3, including songs created before that date. But your library isn't going anywhere: every song stays playable and shareable on Suno, on every plan.
Will I still have commercial rights to my music?
Yes. For any song that you download from the platform as a paying subscriber, you have the commercial rights to the music and can use it for commercial or personal use.
What is a trial download?
Trial downloads don't reset monthly, they are a one-time allowance. So once you’ve used all of your trial downloads, upgrading to a paid plan is the way to keep downloading. Trial downloads are for personal use only: commercial rights apply to songs downloaded on paid plans.
What if I want to cancel my subscription?
If you no longer wish to be a subscriber, you can cancel your plan by heading to suno.com/account. Read more about how to cancel your plan here.
