When we started Suno, we were focused on a simple idea: more people should get to experience the joy of making music. Great music starts with people. No matter how powerful new technologies become, music only matters because of the emotion, perspective and lived experience behind it. We wanted to help people bring their creative ideas to life in ways that weren’t possible before.
Since our early days, artistry has been central to how we build. We work closely with artists, producers, and songwriters to understand creative workflows and develop tools that genuinely support them. We care deeply about getting this right – more than half of our team are musicians themselves.
We’ve seen Suno used by professional producers and songwriters, but also by millions of people making music for the first time – because music creation is no longer the domain of a niche few. It is becoming one of the most human things we do, a way people communicate, remember, and connect. What started as a simple idea has grown far beyond what we imagined, and today, we’re excited to share an important milestone.
Suno has raised over $400 million in Series D funding at a $5.4 billion post-money valuation. This round was led by Bond Capital, alongside IVP, Forerunner, Union Square Ventures, Alkeon and Quiet, with participation from existing investors Matrix, Lightspeed, Menlo Ventures, and Schroders Capital. As with our previous funding rounds, we’re thrilled to have participation from some of the best artists, producers, songwriters, and people from across the music industry.
This funding will help us accelerate what matters most: helping more people express themselves through music, while continuing to expand what’s possible for artists and creators on Suno.
In recent months, we’ve seen Suno become part of culture in ways that continue to surprise us. Family members are turning text threads, group chats, and inside jokes into songs. People are writing songs for birthdays, graduations, and even work events. Viral trends helped propel Suno to #1 in the App Store’s Music category in dozens of countries.
Some of the most meaningful stories are the deeply personal ones: patients in hospice care using Suno to leave songs behind for loved ones; therapists helping teens navigate mental health challenges through music creation; caregivers for people with dementia and Alzheimer’s creating personalized songs tied to memories and familiar voices.
Looking ahead, we’re preparing for our next chapter.
In the coming months, we’ll begin rolling out our first music model developed in partnership with the music industry. We believe there’s a huge opportunity to create new experiences for fans while helping artists reach audiences, build community, and unlock new creative and economic possibilities.
We’re incredibly grateful to the community that helps shape Suno every day. We can’t wait to keep building alongside you.
