Independent artists have always been central to Suno. They are often the first to experiment with new creative tools, and we want to help give them more ways to create, reach audiences and grow their careers.
Today, we’re announcing a global strategic partnership with global artist development company Believe and TuneCore, its platform for self-releasing artists. Believe supports independent artists and labels around the world, helping them develop their careers, while retaining creative independence, sharing their music through platforms like Spotify, Apple Music, Amazon Music and YouTube, and reaching new audiences worldwide.
Believe will be part of the new music models we are developing with the music industry. Together, we’ll create new product experiences that Believe and TuneCore artists can choose to participate in, giving them new ways to collaborate with fans and get paid for their work.
All tracks created by artists using Suno’s new industry partner model will also become eligible to distribute through Believe and TuneCore. That creates a more direct path from creating a song using Suno to sharing it with listeners around the world, something our community has wanted for a long time.
This partnership builds on Spark, our program supporting independent and emerging artists with funding, mentorship and marketing. It complements our work with Warner Music Group and BMG by bringing more independent labels and self-releasing artists into what we develop next.
It also reflects our commitment to working with industry partners to support a healthy music ecosystem. We recently introduced audio watermarking and fingerprinting to help identify Suno songs off-platform and combat fraud and abuse, along with new download limits designed to prevent mass distribution to streaming services. These protections will apply to music distributed through Believe and TuneCore.
What makes today especially meaningful is how we got here. Earlier this year, Believe and TuneCore said they would not distribute music made with models that did not meet their standards, including Suno’s models at the time.
Through many candid conversations, we found that we share important values: giving artists meaningful choices and creating more paths to distribution and economic opportunity. It’s a good example of what constructive engagement can accomplish, even when we don’t start in the same place.
Over the past several months, we’ve been laying the groundwork for the next generation of Suno, strengthening our safeguards, expanding our industry partnerships and learning directly from artists.
We’ll launch our new models very soon and we’re excited that Believe, TuneCore and their global community of independent artists and labels will be part of what comes next.
