Play it howyou mean it.

Plug in a MIDI controller to play chords, basslines and melodies on built-in synths. Or turn your keyboard into an expressive instrument with musical typing, arpeggiator and chord mode.

Plugins you can design yourself.

From sidechain compression to convolution reverb, hone your music with industry-standard audio effects. Or design your own effects built to your exact vibe and specifications.

Say the word, build your sound.

Create sounds layer by layer, build synths and plugins from scratch and explore uncharted sonic territory, all in your own words. You can even ask chat to batch rename your tracks.

Frequently asked questions

What is Suno Studio?

Suno Studio is a first-of-its-kind browser-based generative audio workstation that combines traditional DAW functionality with AI-powered music creation. Now on its second version, it features a multitrack editing interface where you can layer, arrange and reshape your music with complete creative control. Play built-in synths using a MIDI controller or musical typing, generate any sound from scratch, and use advanced stems to separate audio into its component parts. Shape your sound with factory audio plugins, design your own custom plugins and fine-tune your mix with automation. Suno Studio also fits into existing production setups: upload audio from other DAWs or equipment, use MIDI in and transport control, and export audio, MIDI and stems to continue your work anywhere.

How do I access Suno Studio?

Studio is available for Premier subscribers only. You can find information about our plan tiers here. Once subscribed to a Premier plan, you get full Studio access at suno.com/studio.

Who is Suno Studio for?

Suno Studio is designed for any artists or producers, from aspiring to professional, who want more sources of inspiration and greater creative control over their Suno Songs. It's perfect if you want to experiment with different styles and push your songs further.

Can I create my own plugins?

Yes. Suno Studio lets you design your own audio effects, unique to you, that define your vibe. Build custom plugins from scratch and apply them to any track in your project. Use the chat bar to describe the effect you want, and tweak the settings until it sounds right. You can also use the factory audio effects included in Studio. Note, Suno Studio does not support VST, AU or AAX plugins.

How does Suno Studio differ from other DAWs?

Unlike traditional DAWs that rely on pre-recorded samples, loops, or require you to record every element yourself, Suno Studio integrates generative AI directly into the production workflow. You can generate any instrument track that seamlessly matches the style, key, and tempo of your existing composition. This eliminates the time-consuming process of hunting through sample libraries or the need to play every instrument you want in your songs. You can also use the Studio chat bar to create your own plugins and synth presets, a feature not found in most DAWs.

Can I import existing audio files or stems?

Yes! You can import audio files by dragging and dropping on to the timeline from your computer file browser. If your song is in Suno, you can extract the stems and open them in Studio by dragging them directly into the Studio timeline.

What can I export from Suno Studio?

You can export full songs, individual stems and multitracks in high-quality 32-bit/48kHz format. You can also export the MIDI files you create, and convert audio to MIDI.

How many downloads can I retrieve from Studio?

Because Studio is designed to support professional workflows including generating and manipulating stems and samples, Studio is exempt from the download limits taking effect in September 2026. If you're a Premier subscriber using Studio, you shouldn't notice any change in your download behavior.

Do Stem and Multitrack downloads count toward my Premier subscription downloads limit?

Stem and Multitrack downloads within Studio are exempt from download restrictions.

Can I open my old Studio projects in Studio 2.0?

Yes. Projects made in old Studio will transfer seamlessly into Studio 2.0. Until September 2026, you can open Studio projects in v1 using the menu item in the project dropdown. Studio 2.0 projects are not compatible with the old version.
