Episode 10: Boundaries (Arthur-verse)
╔════════════════════════════════════════════ ║ 📚 ARTHUR-VERSE · SEASON 1 · ISSUE FILE ╠════════════════════════════════════════════ ║ 🗂️ SET: ARTHUR-VERSE · S1 ║ 🎵 TRACK: "Episode 10: Boundaries" ║ 👥 CAST: Tim Drake / Damian Wayne / Arthur (voice only) ╠════════════════════════════════════════════ ║ 🎬 SYNOPSIS: This opens right after the fight with Arthur. Tim comes home wrecked, ║ running on adrenaline and shock, and tries to rinse the whole night off in a hot ║ shower. Armor comes off. Steam fills the room. He is not calm. He is grieving the ║ friendship he thinks he just lost, and he is furious about the theater deaths. ║ ║ Damian shows up and presses. Bare feet, sharp voice, zero sense of timing. He’s ║ worried, and worry comes out as interrogation. Tim tries to set a boundary. Damian ║ keeps crossing it until the argument tightens into something physical. Damian reaches ║ for the jade orb and pulls back to throw it. ║ ║ Then the consequence arrives, and it’s not subtle. Arthur does not appear in person. ║ Only Damian hears him. A line drops into Damian’s head, exactly as it was spoken in ║ "Episode 3: Scheduled Meeting with Damian": “I am not just some comedian… I am your ║ wrathful god, Damian.” The curse activates. Damian’s hand withers in pain. The throw ║ dies. By the time Tim looks, the hand is normal again, but Damian is left staring ║ at it like it’s haunted. ║ ║ The chorus split makes sense once you track what each of them knows. Tim knows Arthur ║ was involved in the theater massacre and can’t stomach it. Damian doesn’t know that. ║ Damian only knows Arthur gave him one strange hour of peace, and now that same god-voice ║ can reach into his body and punish him. That’s why the last chorus lands as a joint ║ rejection. Tim is drawing a moral line. Damian is drawing a safety line. ║ ║ 🛋️ THERAPIST NOTE: Tim and Damian have history, but this isn’t 2006 anymore. They’re ║ not friends, but they are brothers now in the practical sense. Tim was later adopted ║ into Bruce Wayne’s household, and living under the same roof forced a kind of uneasy ║ family status no matter how much they grind each other’s nerves. That’s why Arthur’s ║ curse hits Tim so hard. It isn’t “revenge.” It’s a violation aimed at someone Tim has ║ already had to learn how to live beside. ║ ║ Damian’s piece is simpler than it looks. He wants control because he doesn’t have ║ emotional language for care. Arthur gave him calm once, and Damian liked it, which is ║ confusing for him. Then the curse reminds him what that calm really was. Not friendship. ║ Not safety. Power touching him without permission. This is why the title matters. ║ The whole episode is about lines that should not be crossed, even when you think you’re ║ “protecting” someone. ║ ║ 🩺 FILED IMPRESSION: Shocked grief with boundary enforcement and moral outrage (Tim); ║ Care expressed as provocation, interrupted by fear and bodily consequence (Damian); ║ Remote punitive conditioning via voice-triggered curse (Arthur). ╚════════════════════════════════════ [verse 1: slow EDM bass build up] Tim comes home from a fight too big to survive. The air’s too bright; the walls lean in, alive. He tears off his cowl and lets it fall to the floor. The weight still hums; his muscles are sore. He unhooks his armor, one clasp at a time. Each fall of steel recalls the crime. He stands too still; skin hums with what’s left. The fight done; heat clings to chest. Pulls off his shirt; his hand finds the scars. Stories stitched wrong, not his, not ours. He steps into steam; his outline blurs. Palms on the tile; he breathes while steam purrs. One word—“fuck”—half breath, half release. Not a curse, just a cut finding peace. He kills the heat when the steam turns thin. Gray cloth on wet skin; comfort drawn in. [pre-chorus: bass drops] And Tim thinks about Arthur to himself… [Tim chorus: explosive, strong] No, I’m not fine! This is where I draw the line You killed them all and I almost killed you, too I stole your rage, the cancer grew These wounds I cannot mend Tonight i’ve lost my friend [verse 2: EDM, sharp synths, pulsing rhythm] He’s barely dry when the door slides wide. A younger man stands there—bare feet, pride. Damian waits, eyes sharp with steel. He looks Tim over from hair to heel. “What happened tonight?” Damian asks, too hard. Tim says, “Not now! I’m standing guard.” Tim pushes past, and Damian keeps his pace, measures each breath, refuses space. Tim mutters low, “You’re not my medic.” Damian says, “You’re pathetic.” Tim finally stops—his voice: “Not tonight.” Damian freezes—jaw locked, shoulders tight. He feels, for once, the edge of being small, care sharpening to anger after all. The jade sphere waits—so flawless, so contained. He stares, imagining it cracked and stained. [pre-chorus: bass drops] And Damian shouts to Tim out loud… [Damian chorus: explosive, strong] No, you’re not fine! This is where I draw the line Someone killed them all and its killing you. I feel this rage, this cancer grew These wounds I cannot mend You were never my friend! [brief instrumental] [bridge: build up] Tim keeps walking on. Damian’s calm is gone. The jade sphere catches light. He moves prepared to fight. He draws his arm to throw. Tim’s back still turned to take the blow. A voice echoes clear that only Damian can hear! [spoken: Arthur’s Divine Intervention] “I am not just some comedian… I am your wrathful god, Damian….” [bridge 2: explosive, strong, aggressive] Pain fires through his hand. It’s more than he can stand The skin goes gray, then black. He screams; the sound snaps back. The sphere hits wood and stone. The noise becomes a tone. Damian gasps for air. His palm now smooth and bare. He knows what’s just begun— a curse he can’t outrun. Damian nods, eyes wide; shame swells where rage had lied. [Tim and Damian final chorus: Epic, explosive, strong, layered synths, and pulse tones with staggered breathig] No, we’re not fine! This is where we draw the line You killed them all and Tim almost killed you, too We hate your rage, the cancer grew These wounds we cannot mend You were never truly our friend [Damian:] Never My Friend [Tim:] Never our friend! [Tim:] Tonight I’ve lost a friend….
