[Intro] [fingerstyle acoustic guitar with percussive slaps] [Verse 1] [male vocals enter] Some people say that God is dead Or if He ever lived He's gone today And that every single word He ever said Just can't last, it'll pass away But living proof was in His promise He sent His Son to tell us so [Chorus] [bass and drums enter] We're the evidence of extended love Sent to us from God above We're the evidence of His matchless grace No other one could take the place Of the highly prized possession From the heart of God with love We're the evidence that He cares for man Even now He's holding out His hand [Instrumental Break] [acoustic guitar riff, light electric guitar accents] [Verse 2] When you felt His love and you've heard His voice No matter what they say you made your choice To believe in Him with all your might And you know by faith, not by sight All the splendor found in mercy That changed all our destinies [Chorus] We're the evidence of extended love Sent to us from God above We're the evidence of His matchless grace No other one could take the place Of the highly prized possession From the heart of God with love We're the evidence that He cares for man Even now He's holding out His hand [Bridge] [acoustic guitar solo with percussive tapping] [Chorus] [vocals return, full band] We're the evidence of extended love Sent to us from God above We're the evidence of His matchless grace No other one could take the place Of the highly prized possession From the heart of God with love We're the evidence that He cares for man Even now He's holding out His hand Evidence Even now He's holding out His hand Evidence [Outro] [acoustic guitar fades out]
