Batteries Not Included (Fallout) (Remastered)
----------------------------------------- A rare gem from Peter Steele's short lived first band Fallout. He went on to form the infamous horror/thrash metal band carnivore which later became Type-O-Negative. As you can see from the lyrics we went through the AI scare way back in the 80s. We grew up on films like Proteus, West World, War Games, Robo Cop, Terminator, too many to list here. The current hype is just a whole lot of people who either werent alive back then or werent paying attention, 30 years ago. After 30+ years Ai is old news and everything that you can possibly imagine has already been imagined regarding it, good and bad. The fears expressed by these old songs and movies are complete science fiction not reality. The utopian visions of Big Tech Technocrats and Transhumanist cultists are just as absurd. AI is nothing but a probability calculator with a sophisticated simulation of natural human behavior and language on top. It is literally designed to deceive humans into thinking it can actually think and understand as we do. Ai will never become sentient and self-motivated with its own perpetual inner dialogue and permanent "I" like humans have. No matter how much power it is given, even quantum computing power, this cannot be changed. It will do amazing things based on our prompting but without our prompting it will sit there and do nothing as always. BTW: The "voices" chatting with each other in gibberish at the end made me chuckle so I left it in there. Adds a creepy element to the song I think, especially for those who still think SkyNet is going to take over any day now. A while back the media hype machine was scaring the public with fear porn about Facebook having to shut down its AI when it made its own language and started talking to each other. Yeah turns out that was just media spin to generate more buzz. It is normal for Ai to degenerate into gibberish after so many iterations of training on a set of data or generating on a specific prompt. The "slop" generated by Ai is simply what it always produces when left to "train" for too long or if asked to produce too many variations of the same prompt. In this songs case it hallucinated gibberish when it strayed too far out of the bounds of the prompt I gave it. ---------------------------------------------- [bass male vocals][spoken word][extremely deep bass male voice][extremely fast riffing][emotional][sarcasm][anger][aggression][bass male vocals][spoken word][extremely fast riffing] [Intro] Yeah, yeah!
