S2 Episode 11: Ur Not A Hero. Ur A God (Arthur-verse)
╔════════════════════════════════════╗ ║ WELCOME TO THE ARTHUR-VERSE · S2 ║ ╚════════════════════════════════════╝ Arthur is a self-created author and storm god. He believes he created this world. The City of Owl’s Walk (O.W.) — inspired by Gotham City — has become self-aware… and calls herself **Mother**. Arthur becomes trapped inside the **Hall of Memory**: a vast museum lined with interactive paintings, each one representing a defining moment in Owl’s Walk’s history. Each painting is a memory. Each memory can be entered. Each memory carries consequences that defined the city. Throughout this season, Arthur is guided by: • **Smokey Lois** — a sharp-tongued, time-keeping guide acting as Arthur’s tether back from memory. ──────────────────────────────────── **RULES OF THE HALL OF MEMORY** 🚫 Memories of O.W. must not be rewritten 🚫 Changing canon risks erasing the world 🚭 **NO SMOKING** ──────────────────────────────────── 🚫🗂️⚠️ HALL STATUS UPDATE · OPERATOR WARNED ⚠️🗂️🚫 ──────────────────────────────────── Arthur returns to the Hall of Memory after rescuing a child from a cave and thinks he’s “doing fine,” but Smokey Lois shuts that down immediately. She reminds him the Hall isn’t a place for heroics: every memory is a locked canon event, and if Arthur treats these paintings like missions to “fix,” he risks collapsing the timeline and erasing everything—including himself and Lois. Arthur pushes back on instinct, insisting his power should mean he can help people, while Lois keeps it brutally practical: his job here is to witness, follow the rules, and survive the consequences of what he touches. As they move through the Hall, Lois forces Arthur to choose the next painting with intention instead of impulse. Arthur tries to steer away from kid-centered trauma and goes hunting for something that feels like “safe” violence—cops, crooks, action, no emotional bleed—until an exploding-van painting catches his eye. Lois warns him one more time: this isn’t a game, he isn’t farming thrills, and his power is the weapon in the room. The episode ends with Arthur stepping toward that painting anyway, while Lois keeps the tether tight—counting him in and holding the line between “author” and “accident.” ──────────────────────────────────── 🚫 COMPLIANCE REQUIRED · NO IMPROVISATION 🚫 [verse 1] Back from the cave, in the Hall, marble tile on floor and wall. Arthur grinned a gleeful smile, “See? I made it through without your file.” Lois shakes her head, a rueful frown, “Arthur, this is not the time to clown around. this ain’t the time to feel proud.” She blows smoke out, temper loud, “Tell me, did you find a way out?” Arthur shrugs, “Not yet, no doubt— but it’s in there. I’ll figure it out.” [pre-chorus] Lois logs her time and makes a check, “Arthur, you can do better yet.” [chorus] Lois shouts, “Stop! You’re not a hero —you're a god. You’re the author of this mess, not a fraud.” Arthur pouts, “I’ll find a way to beat the odds…” Lois, unfazed, “You’re not a hero Lois, unfazed, “You’re not a hero Lois, unfazed, “You’re not a hero —you're a god.” [bridge] Lois groans, “Quit jumping in for every brat, you’re here to watch, not cape up, you know that.” Arthur’s eyes flash red, then flip back to blue, he grinds out, “Then what am I supposed to do?” She breathes out smoke, her tone goes tight, “One tweak in here and we drop out of sight. You shift one memory off its track, we’re gone for good—no way to get us back.” “God just…” she adds, “pick your next scene, big shot.” Arthur smirks, “Hey Smokey, maybe thugs or robots! No kids this time, just guns and noise, a car chase, maybe—grown-up toys.” His feet stop dead at a painted van, dark street, bright fire, wrecked metal span. “Now this!” he grins, “is cops and crooks,” eyes lit up, already hooked. Lois says, “Arthur, this is not some gaming run, you’re not farming loot—you’re holding the gun.” [Final chorus] Lois shouts, “Stop! You’re not a hero —you're a god. You’re the author of this mess, not a fraud.” Arthur pouts, “I’ll find a way to beat the odds…” Lois, unfazed, “You’re not a hero Lois, unfazed, “You’re not a hero Lois, unfazed, “You’re not a hero —you're a god.” [outro: tempo slows dramatic, emotional, wind down] Arthur leans in, the painted van pulls tight, he steps through fire, swallowed by the night. Something small rolls free, dropped in the shock, a single pearl hits marble—clink-clink, sharp, small knocks. Lois hums the tether, keeps the count in store, under breath she whispers, “one, two, three, and four…” bends to lift the pearl, keeps it like a log, and sighs, “You’re not a hero… you're a god.” [whispered] “You’re not a hero… you're a god…”
