God’s Been Preparing Us

[Intro] “He didn’t waste our tears… He didn’t waste our pain… Every trial was shaping us, for the work He had ordained.” [Verse 1] We didn’t see it then, when the nights felt long, But He was writing purpose in our sorrow’s song. Through the broken pieces, He was making us whole, Putting strength in our spirit, fire in our soul. [Chorus] God’s been preparing us… Preparing us… Through every trial we face… Preparing us… Nothing wasted, nothing lost, He was shaping who we’d be… Yes, God’s been preparing us! [Verse 2] Like Joseph in the prison, we were waiting for the day, When all the hurt behind us would be used in a mighty way. Now we see His mercy, His hand in every test, What the enemy meant for evil, God turned into His best. [Chorus] God’s been preparing us… For such a time as this… Through the valley, through the storm, He was shaping destiny… Oh, God’s been preparing us! [Bridge] He works all things together, for the good of those who love… For the good, for the good… Every tear, every trial, is redeemed by Heaven’s love… Redeemed by Heaven’s love! He was working in us, before working through us… [Final Chorus] God’s been preparing us… oh yes He has! Through the fire, through the flood, He prepared us to believe! Nothing wasted, nothing lost, He was shaping who we’d be! Hallelujah, God’s been preparing us! [Outro] “Every step, every struggle, every victory… it was all preparing us.”
