Episode 2: Unrescuing Rousseau (Arthur-Verse)
╔════════════════════════════════════════════ ║ 📚 ARTHUR-VERSE · SEASON 1 · ISSUE FILE ╠════════════════════════════════════════════ ║ 🗂️ SET: ARTHUR-VERSE · S1 ║ 🎵 TRACK: Unrescuing Rousseau ║ 👥 CAST: Arthur / Father Paul / Father Rousseau / The Clown ╠════════════════════════════════════════════ 🎬 SYNOPSIS: Paul’s blade falls. The Clown grins, ready to take the cut—then the air folds. Arthur appears, coat full of stars, eyes burning red. Paul’s sword strikes him, drawing a single drop of blood. The wound seals into a golden scar. Arthur declares, “I am Arthur, your god.” He snaps Paul’s blade, breaks the sacred seal, and claims the Clown as his own. Then he drives his fist through Paul’s armor and tears out his heart. Paul collapses. The Clown howls with laughter. Rousseau still breathes—bound, mutilated, eyelids sewn shut, scalpels buried in his ears. Arthur offers no healing, no rescue. He blinks once. Rousseau combusts into crimson dust. Arthur vanishes. The Clown’s laughter fills the warehouse. Both priests are dead. The torturer survives. ╠════════════════════════════════════════════ 🛋️ THERAPIST NOTE: Arthur doesn’t claim divine authority—he possesses it. He condemns Paul’s sanctified violence while exercising absolute power himself. His protection is possessive, not impartial. The Clown is someone he loves, and Paul dies for threatening him. Rousseau’s death is the cruelest revelation. Helpless and already tortured, he receives neither rescue nor restoration. Whether Arthur considers his destruction mercy or removal, the victim is erased while his tormentor survives. The Clown’s laughter seals the irony: divine intervention has rewarded his cruelty. Arthur has not delivered justice. He has asserted ownership. FILED IMPRESSION: Divine Sovereignty + Possessive Protection (Arthur); Sanctified Violence + Moral Injury (Paul); Sadistic Cruelty + Divine Reinforcement (Clown); Victimization + Annihilation (Rousseau). ╚════════════════════════════════════════════ [verse 1: taiko drums] The blade arcs down—clean, rehearsed. The clown is grinning, ready for the worst. Then light folds open—no cue, no sound. Arthur stands where there was only ground. Coat full of stars, eyes red like clay. The sword meets flesh, but will not slay. A single drop of blood slides thin. Paul turns, breath shaking. “Name yourself,” to him. [pre-chorus 1: Fiddle enters] “I am Arthur, your god,” the lights go red. Each word lands hard, one beat ahead. [chorus: fiddle, synth, taiko drums, strong, percussive, dark choirs] By oath and steel - the blade is done. By sacred seal - its curse undone The blade breaks clean beneath his hand. The god rises, he takes command. Arthur says - “The clown, I claimed. Your hunt is over, your god renamed. You won’t touch what I love again. I’ll hold your fucking heart amen” [bridge: build up, layered taiko drums] My wound locks shut; the scar turns gold. You call it faith, but your god’s grown old. You hunt in HIS name, but the blood is yours. You preach salvation while slamming doors. You’re not divine—you’re diseased and proud. Your saints are quiet; I speak loud. I draw the line, I value what’s left of mine. The clown will not be bound this time. I’ll hold your fucking heart amen” [verse 2] The clown hoots loud; the echo rides. Paul steps back—his faith divides. Arthur steps once, then once again. His arm draws back; his fist dives in Armor splits, the heart exposed. He tears it free; the wound just glows. Paul collapses, blank and gone. The clown keeps laughing on and on— HAHAHAAHAAHAAAA [pre-chorus 2] “I am your god,” he says once more— and every wall repeats the score. I’ll hold your fucking heart - AMEN!” [outro: build up] Arthur’s smile fades; his glare stays cold. He turns to the clown; no words are told. Rousseau still breathes—torn and bound. Scalpels in ears, his eyes sewn down. Arthur blinks once; the priest combusts— Crimson dust on an autumn gust. Arthur’s gone. The clown resounds, “Ha-Ha-Ha-Ha” all around
