Surreal chamber score titled “Three, of Whom the Dead One Is Not Her.” No vocals, no song form. Begin with a church-organ chord that seems to inhale instead of sound, joined by a single glassy female tone splitting into unstable harmonics. Two bass clarinets below conduct a dry, awkward dialogue: one repeatedly climbs a fourth, the other gently drags it back, while fingers tap an irregular 3+2+2 pattern on coffin wood. Above them, a pale four-note melody rises weightlessly with the flying woman, passing through harmony like transparent fabric through walls. When their gazes meet, invert gravity: her melody descends as the two low voices unexpectedly float upward. They converge in a beautiful impossible chord, notes seemingly nested inside one another. At her closest pass, let the entire church resonate for one breath, then cut everything except two quiet wooden knocks and one suspended high harmonic. No horror stingers, comedy cues, heroic climax, trailer percussion, or fade-out.
