"Still Following The Sun, Mum!"

Verse 1 Morning breaks while the kettle warms, Sky turns silver ahead of the storm, Birds in the hedges, day has begun, Your tune said, “Go, follow the sun.” Chorus I follow the sun where the light is strong, With your laugh in the wind and hope in my song, I follow the sun till the day is done, Every step I take keeps me close to Mum. Verse 2 You kept the rhythm with a tap of your shoe, Around the table, the whole night through, Song after song till the floorboards rung, Life felt lighter when your tune was sung. Chorus I follow the sun where the light is strong, With your words in my heart and the stars as my guide, I follow the sun till the day is done, Every road I walk leads me back to Mum. Bridge When clouds hang low and the path feels wrong, When nights are heavy and the days too long, I hear that line, gentle but true: “Go, follow the sun....carry on through.” Verse 3 I leave you flowers where the grass stays green, Tell you the things that I’ve seen and been, Still feel your hand when the cold winds come, Still feel your strength when the light is gone. Final Chorus I follow the sun where the light is strong, Through changing seasons and passing time, I follow the sun till the day is done, You’re the song I carry, my only Mum. Outro Rise with the light. Rest when it’s done. Your tune still hums.... Go, follow the sun. Mmm mmm "Still following the sun, Mum" Mmm mmm
