[Intro - Sub-bass only] Born out of Chaos, before sky or sea. Nyx was the night. I was darkness before light. [Beat Drops] [Verse 1] No moon. No sun. No shadow could fall. No need for a name when darkness was all. You fear what waits beyond your sight. I was there before the light. [Pre-Chorus] Strike a match. Watch it spark. All that fire does is outline the dark. [Chorus] Erebus. Before the light, before the flame, before the world could speak my name. Strike every match. Make every spark. All that your fire does is outline the dark. [Bass Drop / Guitar Instrumental] [Verse 2] Nyx at my side, Aether was born. Hemera followed- darkness made dawn. You call me nothing. You call me void. Yet Day came from what you avoid. [Instrumental - 808 groove, sparse guitar] [Bridge - Close vocal] I don't hunt. I don't fight. I don't need to conquer light. Close your eyes. Kill the glare. You don't summon me. I'm already there. [Heavy Instrumental Build] [Final Chorus] Erebus. Before the light, before the flame, before the world could speak my name. Let every star leave its mark. Every light still outlines the dark. [Extended Instrumental - Bass and guitar] [Outro - Sub-bass only] Born out of Chaos, before you could see. Nyx was the night. I was darkness before light.
