Shackled! The kid is musing over her cheap antics, She herself is a meek little girl, She is dark and so is her life. She has a mother and an alcoholic father. She works all day with a smile on her face, I made an effort to hide away, I tried to sleep, but my eyes won't shut. I saw that she lives in a small cheap hut. Everyday is like a battlefield, And you have to go knowing you will lose, That's what that little girl does, She knows she can't read or write. I know she's not the only one with a problem, One lies within every heart. Life often acts as waves, Understand the crests and the troughs and you will know when to act.
