I saw a stranger shining bright today, No church shoes, no fancy words to pray! But oh, the sun just burst through in a blaze, And joyful grace poured out in golden rays! I heard a story, ringing clear and true, Of mercy cascading, fresh as morning dew! It didn't ask who'd earned a single thing, Just touched each heart and made the spirit sing! No gate, no guard, just open wide His grace! No bouncer keeping folks from His embrace! Forget the judging, banish every doubt— Just raise your voices, let the praises shout! We're not the keepers, oh, we're simply guests, Welcomed right in, magnificently blessed! Some folks treat His love like guarded gold, Say it's for sale, or bought and to be sold. They build their fences, stake a selfish claim, Then wonder why they feel such bitter shame. But I have knelt on humble, battered floors, With yearning hearts still knocking at love's doors. And in their eyes, I've seen it crystal clear— The Lord was already drawing wonderfully near! No gate at the door, no tally to be crossed, No record of wins, no bitter count of loss. If you are breathing, you're welcome inside— No need to fake it, nowhere left to hide! He won't withhold what's freely, gladly given, There's glorious room for all, within His heaven! I've been the prodigal, once filled with pride. I've been the judge, with arms too tightly wide. I've turned away from love so purely true. And yes, I've shut the gate on me and you. But still He called, and still His spirit gave— His mercy deeper than the darkest grave! No gate at the door, no heavy proof to show, Just come as you are, let all your burdens go! The blessings fall like rain on all, The great, the meek, the short, the tall! So lay your burden, lose your heavy pride, There's boundless room for all, within His grace! Don't be jealous of the grace He freely gives… It's not a race, it's how true kindness lives. We're not the judge, we're simply the blessed. Let's thank the Lord and leave Him with the rest.
