╔════════════════════════════════════╗ ║ WELCOME TO THE ARTHUR-VERSE · S2 ║ ╚════════════════════════════════════╝ Arthur is a self-created author and storm god. He believes he created this world. The City of Owl’s Walk (O.W.) — inspired by Gotham City — has become self-aware… and calls herself **Mother**. Arthur becomes trapped inside the **Hall of Memory**: a vast museum lined with interactive paintings, each one representing a defining moment in Owl’s Walk’s history. Each painting is a memory. Each memory can be entered. Each memory carries consequences that defined the city. Throughout this season, Arthur is guided by: • **Smokey Lois** — a sharp-tongued, time-keeping guide acting as Arthur’s tether back from memory. ──────────────────────────────────── **RULES OF THE HALL OF MEMORY** 🚫 Memories of O.W. must not be rewritten 🚫 Changing canon risks erasing the world 🚭 **NO SMOKING** ──────────────────────────────────── 🗂️🖼️🔁 MEMORY ARCHIVE INITIALIZED 🔁🖼️🗂️ ──────────────────────────────────── Arthur is removed from Owl’s Walk and brought face to face with Mother, the living authority of the city he believed he created. Judged unsafe to remain among her people, Arthur is placed inside the Hall of Memory—a vast archive where the city’s defining moments are preserved, unalterable, and endlessly repeatable. The Hall is not a prison by force, but a containment by consequence: the doors do not lock, yet escape is impossible without understanding. Mother makes the terms plain. The Hall exists to be witnessed, not rewritten; pain must be walked through, not erased. Arthur is offered safety, a stage, and the chance to see what his actions have fed upon—but not the power to change it. As repetition sets in and the cost of memory becomes clear— endurance, not rebellion, is the only path forward. ──────────────────────────────────── 🔒🕰️👁️ REPEAT CYCLE ACTIVE 👁️🕰️🔒 [verse 1: build up] Arthur, the storm god, the author stood stilled, His voice lost its footing, his certainty chilled. Face to face with Mother, the city personified. None stand above her — declared and solidified. [Arthur is transported to the Hall Of Memory with Mother] Neon collapsed, sirens went shrill, Cold white lights erased the night, Streets squared to tile by ordered will, Nothing here escaped her sight. [pre-chorus] Arthur asked, “What is this place?” Mother said, “Where you’ll be safe.” [chorus: Dark choirs and lead vocalist] This is the… Hall of Memory! The doors don’t lock — but you won’t leave You’ll try your luck— again. again. You don’t erase, you don’t amend You’ll walk it through— again. again. No song survives its history Now Welcome… Home to Memory! [verse 2] Mother told Arthur, “Here you’ll be safe— A lasting stage.” But Arthur heard a cage. Arthur shouts, “Safe is boring!” “I must fly in skies— free and soaring” Mother sighed, “You sell the myth of flight, Yet chart review says: fear of heights.” Arthur looked away, abashed and muttered, “It… It-it was a metaphor” he stuttered. [pre-chorus] Mother wrote the terms she won’t conceal, Arthur read it once—no right to appeal. [chorus: Dark choirs and lead vocalist] This is the… Hall of Memory! The doors don’t lock — but you won’t leave You’ll try your luck— again. again. You don’t erase, you don’t amend You’ll walk it through— again. again. No song survives its history Now Welcome… Home to Memory! [bridge: build up] Mother clears the space and lets him read. She steps aside so he can see: “NO SMOKING.” That’s all he needs. And Arthur jokes, “Oh! What? Who? Me?!” Mother proceeded: Pain makes you present. That’s the cost. These are my memories. You’re inside, not lost. All motion halts; you won’t go far. Pain lives in memory, where you are You’ll try to escape—go ahead, try. But you’re too scared to fly. Rewrite history, rewrite pain— But hear this plain. Change a thing inside the frame— it won’t sing, and you’ll be to blame. [final chorus] This is the… Hall of Memory! The doors don’t lock — but you won’t leave You’ll try your luck— again. again. You don’t erase, you don’t amend You’ll walk it through— again. again. No song survives its history Now Welcome… Home to Memory! [outro] Mother releases claim without retreat, The halls persist; her presence goes discreet. No farewell sounds; no door is ever shut, The city holds—Arthur stands there; he’s now stuck. Now Welcome… Now Welcome… [whispered] home to memory
