If Grace, Why Strive

V4.5

I used to chase the highest place, Thought winning proved my worth and grace. But every race left me behind, Exhausted soul, a tortured mind. I saw the mirror change with time, The hands that once could climb and climb. But now they shake, and strength runs low— Still grace says, “Child, just let it go.” If grace is a gift, not a prize to earn, Why do we fall for the lessons we spurn? It’s not in the crown, or standing tall, But rising again when we stumble and fall. We’re not here to prove, we’re here to live— To serve in love, to trust, forgive. We win, not by being the best alive, But showing up whole— If grace, why strive? I’ve seen the young reach heights with ease, While age has brought me to my knees. But God don’t count the strength I lack, He sees the heart behind the act. Each morning brings a different race, Some days it’s slow, some days it's grace. And what I give today is real— It’s not my peak, but it’s how I feel. If grace is a gift, not a prize to earn, Why do we fall for the lessons we spurn? It’s not in the crown, or standing tall, But rising again when we stumble and fall. We’re not here to prove, we’re here to live— To serve in love, to trust, forgive. We win, not by being the best alive, But showing up whole— If grace, why strive? 🎻 "Let your best be enough—today. Even if it’s not like yesterday. Even if no one else can see, Heaven smiles when you simply be." 🎻 If grace is a gift, not a prize to earn, Why do we strain with each twist and turn? It’s not in applause or winning the race, But walking each step by mercy and grace. Not climbing the ladder to reach the sky— But lifting each other as we try. We win, not by being the best alive, But living in love— If grace, why strive? So I’ll give my best, just as I am… Not to earn love— But because I already have.
