[intro] yeah, uh uh, yeah Jimmy Lê yo, let's go! [bridge] The law I propose is called the Right to Disconnect Law. This law would mandate companies in my country to legally recognize and respect employees' right to disconnect from work outside of working hours. [verse 1] This means employees would have the right to ignore work emails, calls, and messages after work hours and during designated vacation periods. This law would significantly change the current dynamic between work and personal life. Many employees, myself included, constantly feel pressured to be available for work, even outside of office hours. [verse 2] This constant connection can lead to stress, burnout, and difficulty maintaining a healthy work-life balance. The Right to Disconnect Law would establish clear boundaries, allowing employees to truly switch off and recharge during their personal time. [hook] While some companies might resist this law, fearing a decrease in productivity or responsiveness to urgent issues, I believe it would be generally popular with employees. [verse 3] Polls consistently show overwhelming worker support for the right to disconnect. Improved employee well-being and morale would likely lead to increased productivity and creativity in the long run. The idea for this law came from my own experiences of feeling overwhelmed by the constant pressure to be available for work. [verse 4] Many evenings and weekends are disrupted by work emails or calls, making it difficult to relax and spend quality time with family and friends. Research also shows a negative impact of constant connectivity on mental health. [bridge] The Right to Disconnect Law would address these concerns and promote a healthier work-life balance for all. [hook] While some companies might resist this law, fearing a decrease in productivity or responsiveness to urgent issues, I believe it would be generally popular with employees. [outro] yeah, yeah Jimmy!
