╔════════════════════════════════════╗ ║ WELCOME TO THE ARTHUR-VERSE · S2 ║ ╚════════════════════════════════════╝ Arthur is a self-created author and storm god. He believes he created this world. When Arthur becomes trapped inside Memory— cut off from the city, from his tether, from his own future— another force enters the story to correct the imbalance. ——————————————— 🧠🏛️📋 WITNESS INTERVENTION NOTICE 📋🏛️🧠 ──────────────────────────────────── “Presence Returns” documents the moment Presence comes to Wayne Manor to explain what Arthur cannot: he is trapped inside Memory, contained but not destroyed. She tells Tim Drake the truth plainly. Arthur cannot be pulled out by force. If he is going to return, someone has to remember him and call him back. Damian immediately argues against it, citing Arthur’s violence and violations as reason enough to leave him there forever. Presence does not argue, command, or absolve. She gives Tim the knowledge, leaves the choice with him, and departs. Arthur remains trapped. The key has changed hands. Nothing is resolved yet. ──────────────────────────────────── 🩺🔑⚖️ STATUS: DECISION DEFERRED · KEY TRANSFERRED ⚖️🔑🩺 [verse 1: airy, dreamy synths, synth pads and pulses] I am a solar-wind-haired goddess—a burning page, the author’s imagination, written to blaze I knock at the mansion door, snow on the ground, I’m already inside—Tim opens it, no sound. Behind him my voice calms the air: “Tim… I’m over here.” [short musical interlude] He sees teal scrubs, denim jacket, He hears my song. He feels my calm but it hits him wrong He shuts the door—his questions snap out: His brow furrows and wants to shout “You were outside— but now in here? Why do I feel peace when it should be fear? Is this you—are you doing this? Is there something I missed?” I pause—like this was a given. “No. (not me) That is just how it is written.” Tim asks, “Are you a god?” I answer to no applause: “Yes.” [refrain: short instrumental] [verse 2] I lead Tim toward the sitting room, Like I’ve always known the way. He sits across; silence looms, So he can hear me say: “In memory, Arthur’s trapped, He needs your help, his storm’s been capped.” A floorboard creaks; I’ve felt this shadow here before. “Join us, Damian. Sit, observe; don’t turn this into war.” Damian appears and refused the seat, He stays standing. Tim turns to me; his voice on beat— Now demanding. “Arthur?! Trapped where? What’s this memory snare?” And I explain,“Now listen here.” [chorus: Presence begins to explain the cage Arthur is in] I came to name his cage and hand the key to you, To show you how to free him— if that’s what you choose to do. [bridge: Presence attempts to explain how to save Arthur] Arthur is a god who needs witness to the core, More than any hunger he has carried on before. He left you evidence—marks that will not fall; If you want him back from Memory, you must remember him and call. I am not here to force your hand tonight, I’m just here to offer you this insight. [verse 3: Presence departs] I stand. I turn my hand toward the door. Damian doesn’t move; his jaw just tightens more. Tim moves first; he pulls the door in one clean hold, The driveway’s bare—no engine hum, just cold. [build up: Presence leaves the only way a god should… with spectacle] Tim asks, “How will you get home?” I answer… “I already am...” My clothes begin to burn—steam rises. I glow with the energy of a thousand sunrises— Warm, not blinding, a golden dawn And then I’m gone. [Final chorus: Strong to soft, wind down] I came to name his cage and hand the key to you, To show you how to free him— if that’s what you choose to do. I let Tim’s choices be, and pray he hears my plea— That they’ll set Arthur free; those are the ones who burn. The Author carved a law the cosmos learned: a burning truth that all… Return… [outro: The indecision] Tim and Damian are alone, Together, bare feet on stone. Damian demands, “Don’t bring him back here with me. Just let him stay lost—forever— in memory.” Tim sits in conflict, heart and logic split, All he can offer is… “I’ll think about it.”
