Temperature Rising [Intro] [Verse 1] The city heat is burning up Summer madness What we gonna do? We living in this fire and strife Cutting like a knife [Pre-Chorus] I remember how we used to say On a cooler day That the heat would never go away [Chorus] Temperature rising (Rising up) Rising, baby (Going up) Gotta run for shelter Gotta run for shade Temperature rising (Rising up) Rising, baby (Going up) Gotta cool this tension What a mess we made So long ago [Verse 2] You were my lover, you were my best friend But we didn't know that it would end But now we simply cannot wait Oh, I want to say it's not too late [Pre-Chorus] But the time has come Oh, to end it all And we've really got to break the fall [Chorus] Temperature rising (Rising up) Rising, baby (Going up) Gotta run for shelter Gotta run for shade Temperature rising (Rising up) Rising, baby (Going up) Gotta cool this tension What a mess we made So long ago [Bridge] [Outro] Red line peaking... Watching it climb... Yeah... Song By: Dean Mathis | Produced at LEO Sound Works - Shelby, NC ©®
