╔════════════════════════════════════╗ ║ WELCOME TO THE ARTHUR-VERSE · S2 ║ ╚════════════════════════════════════╝ Arthur is a self-created author and storm god. He believes he created this world. The City of Owl’s Walk (O.W.) — inspired by Gotham City — has become self-aware… and calls herself **Mother**. Arthur becomes trapped inside the **Hall of Memory**: a vast museum lined with interactive paintings, each one representing a defining moment in Owl’s Walk’s history. Each painting is a memory. Each memory can be entered. Each memory carries consequences that defined the city. Throughout this season, Arthur is guided by: • **Smokey Lois** — a sharp-tongued, time-keeping tether to bring Arthur back from memory. ──────────────────────────────────── **RULES OF THE HALL OF MEMORY** 🚫 Memories of O.W. must not be rewritten 🚫 Changing canon risks erasing the world 🚭 **NO SMOKING** ──────────────────────────────────── ⚠️ CANON EVENT — DO NOT ALTER ⚠️ Arthur enters Pearl Alley, the memory of Crime Alley — the night Bruce Wayne loses his parents and the core wound that would later transform the Pearl Alley kid into Batman occurs. Thomas and Martha Wayne die as canon requires. Arthur allows it. But when the gun turns toward the boy, he panics. Forgetting that Bruce was never going to die here, Arthur intervenes and breaks the Hall’s rules trying to “save” what was never actually at risk. The core event still survives despite the intervention- thus canon is not broken. The parents die. The gunman escapes. Bruce lives. The trauma remains. Batman’s path stays intact. He walks out carrying a pearl, a fresh burden of guilt, and scars that were never meant to be his. Arthur ALMOST threw canon off its track…. Lois is gonna be pissed. ⚠️ MEMORY PRESERVED · DAMAGE RECORDED ⚠️ [intro] one… two… three… four… [verse 1: build up] Lois scores the memory, beat by beat. Her drums run low beneath my hands and feet. I see the alley, family dressed for show. “Oh God, it’s this one,” I breathe, keep kneeling low. I mouth the rules—just watch, don’t heal or burn. Just witness; take it in—you’re here to learn. A man stalks up with a gun; the moment’s done. He rips her pearls; each bead hits stone and runs. clink-clink-clink-clink The husband swings; the first shot breaks his frame. Wife screams; the second writes her out of name. [pre-chorus] The boy stands there looking grim The thug turns the gun on him [chorus] Gunshots shatter midnight, the boy’s suddenly alone two bodies now fallen, pearls roll on stone clink clink clink clink rain from the gutter plink plink plink plink There’s just one word I can utter…. [bridge: haste: build up, rapid fire, urgent, tempo picks up] That thug points his gun at the shaking kid canon says it’s done but I blow my lid Gun swings, warm barrel thug’s finger, stiff hand kid caught in peril its not what I planned This track goes way wrong I can’t just watch and stay I’ve carried rules too long so I break them my way I lift my vape to sky and call the thunder down white fire answers high it cracks the whole town I won’t watch that boy die I call for a storm my vape electrified breaking rules i have sworn NOOOO!!! I fling it; a lightning bolt it chews the alley wall bright white heat, a clean jolt his gun leaves his hand n’falls The kid sees my eyes, red my coat spills out stars my eyes click blue, ‘nuff said and my mind keeps the scars [chorus] Gunshots shatter midnight, the boy’s suddenly alone two bodies now fallen, pearls roll on stone clink clink clink clink rain from the gutter plink plink plink plink There’s just one word I can utter…. NOOOO!!! [verse 2: wind down. Slow down, gentle, fearful, soft] The boy just looks, a blank stare, then at the bodies there. I say, “It’s not alright.” “You won’t be fine tonight.” I don’t know what else to say, I pull him in, “I’m sorry,” anyway. From off the street I steal one pearl then free him back into his world I close his parents’ silent eyes and hear the sirens rise. [pre-chorus: build up, rage] The image plays one time again I watch it through from start to end!! [Final Extended Chorus: layered harmonies, layered vocals] Gunshots shatter midnight, the boy’s suddenly alone two bodies now fallen, pearls roll on stone clink-clink-clink-clink rain from the gutter plink-plink-plink-plink Just one word I can utter…. NOOOO!!! the boys still suddenly alone pearls roll on stone clink-clink-clink-clink Its time to go home… one… two… three…four…
