The Least of These

[Intro ] Mmm… oh Lord, open my eyes… To see You where the hurting lies… [Verse 1] I saw a stranger standing in the rain, Hungry and tired, weary with pain. I almost passed by, but I heard You say, “When you love them, child, you love Me that way.” [Chorus] When you feed the hungry, clothe the bare, Lift the fallen, show you care, You’re serving the Lord of love and peace — When you love the least of these. [Verse 2] The lost and the broken, forgotten and small, The world turns away, but You see them all. You said Your kingdom’s where mercy begins, Every act of love is where heaven steps in. [Chorus ] When you feed the hungry, clothe the bare, Lift the fallen, show you care, You’re serving the Lord of love and peace — When you love the least of these. [Bridge] It’s not for praise or earthly reward, No, it’s not for praise. It’s the love of Christ flowing from the Lord, Flowing from the Lord, flowing from the Lord! If all of us carry one candle bright, Together we’ll drive out the night! [Final Chorus] When we feed the hungry, clothe the bare, Lift the fallen, show we care, We’re serving the Lord of love and peace — When we love the least of these! Oh, when we love the least of these! [Outro] You said, Lord, when I love them… I’m loving You.
