He Knows Our Hearts

Verse 1 Not every day comes up bright and shining, Some days are dark and gloomy. The darkness coats the soul, The fight to breathe is real. Fear can be consuming, The struggle weighs us down. It takes all we've got Just to put one foot on the ground. Chorus So we close our eyes, And reach our hands to God. When we can't find the words, He knows our hearts. When the pain runs deep, And tears begin to fall, Hold us through the darkness, Please, be our strength through it all. Verse 2 It takes a concerted effort Just to rise and move about. Energy is drained, Just trying to exist. No one sees the hidden pain, Or hears the silent cry. But God examines every heart, And never passes by. Chorus So we close our eyes, And reach our hands to God. When we can't find the words, He knows our hearts. When the pain runs deep, And tears begin to fall, Hold us through the darkness, Please, be our strength through it all. Bridge When we cannot speak, You hear our prayer. When we cannot stand, You meet us there. Final Chorus So we close our eyes, And reach our hands to God. When we can't find the words, He knows our hearts. When the pain runs deep, And tears begin to fall, Hold us through the darkness, Please, be our strength through it all. Outro Close your eyes. Reach out your hand. He knows. He understands.
