╔════════════════════════════════════════════ ║ 📚 ARTHUR-VERSE · SEASON 1 · ISSUE FILE ╠════════════════════════════════════════════ ║ 🗂️ SET: ARTHUR-VERSE · S1 ║ 🎵 TRACK: Episode 1-4 Recap: I Say It Stands ║ 👥 CAST: The Meta Author / Unknown Listener ╠════════════════════════════════════════════ ║ 🎬 SYNOPSIS: This is the first hard reality-snap. The voice here is not Arthur. ║ It is the Meta Author, and he does not give his name. Everything so far, the ║ Two Gods cycle, Owl’s Walk, “Arthur,” Marion, Caden, all of it, has been a story ║ he wrote while trying to survive himself. ║ ║ He’s giddy and horrified by what he’s built. He brags about revenge on Father ║ Paul, calls it a “perfect birthday present,” then pauses on Father Rousseau and ║ starts bargaining with his own conscience. He reframes Rousseau as someone who ║ “turned away,” who kept secrets sealed so monsters could feel clean, and he uses ║ the Clown as the blade that forces the truth to show its face. ║ ║ Then the track widens. He jumps from church rot to ag-gag laws and animal cruelty, ║ furious at systems that hide harm and punish anyone who names it. He tries to tell ║ co-workers and gets shrugged off, jokes in the place where there should be grief. ║ So he does what he always does when nobody listens. He creates a character who can. ║ ║ That is where the Unknown Listener becomes impossible to ignore. The Meta Author ║ keeps saying “you.” Who is “you”? A journal? A friend? A reader? Somebody he needed ║ badly enough that he wrote them into the room. The recap ends with him admitting ║ the truth under the swagger. The story stands, but it’s wobbly, and he knows it. ║ ║ 🛋️ THERAPIST NOTE: He never says the word in plain language, but the wound is not ║ subtle. The Meta Author was raped by a priest as a child, and you can hear him ║ orbit it without landing. “Father Paul planted panic in me young” is confession ║ dressed as lyric. The Arthur-verse becomes a workaround for what he cannot say ║ directly. Arthur is the god the Meta Author never had. Loud. Protective. ║ Unignorable. A force that will not let harm hide behind ritual language. ║ ║ That is why the recap keeps returning to witness. The obsession is not that ║ violence is cool. The obsession is that silence protects predators. The same ║ machinery keeps showing up in different costumes, and this recap names the pattern. ║ It reframes the earlier tracks as protest, not just plot. That includes "Episode 1: ║ Rescue Rousseau," "Episode 2: Unrescuing Rousseau," "Episode 3: Scheduled Meeting ║ with Damian," and "Episode 4: Damian’s Lesson." ║ ║ 🩺 FILED IMPRESSION: Narrative externalization with revenge scripting, moral injury, ║ and compulsive witness-seeking. Humor used as anesthesia. “You” as an invented ║ listener when real listeners fail. ╚════════════════════════════════════════════ [Intro: dark, disbelief and turns into resolve] I did it… I made myself a god in my own story. How fucked up is that? But I really did it, and now I’m going to make them all pay. [Verse 1: fast paced, excited tapered with some disbelief] I wrote out my revenge on Father Paul. He planted panic in me young, and in the end I watched his shadow fall— no prayer, no pardon. I literally ripped out his heart. That felt amazing— you have no idea. I didn’t realize how I’d carried that crushing weight, how his shadow had hung and hollowed my fate. I think I could live with this kind of power. This is my hour! He had it coming— All those sanctified halls held my fear— poof. Red glittery dust on an autumn gust. Perfect forty-first birthday present, Truly. [Pre-Chorus: soft, inquiry, hingepoint] I almost feel bad, though about Father Rousseau… Father Paul had it coming, but Rousseau wasn’t a bad man. Was he? [Chorus: strong declarative, haste, urgency] Let’s see it another way— Rousseau turned away. Knew the rot in the walls, turned and refused to say Paul’s poison pinned my youth night and day. Rousseau raised no hand, never spoke the truth, so the Clown took him down and showed him all the proof. I lit the match; let his suffering be grand— I’m writing this world. I say it stands [Verse 2: mournful, dreamy, lamentful → building into fierce resolve] I wish I could end so much suffering. I truly wish I could strip the hurt from every small, soft animal, every kid who gets burnt. My best friend told me about… “Ag-Gag” laws— they block the reporters, they try to hide flaws they make it a crime to speak the harms about cruelty in closed, white barns. It’s fucking disgusting what they do on those farms I should go vegan. Or vegetarian… wait, is vegetarianism a word? Spell check says yes— small mercy, small laugh. I tried talking to my co-workers about it blood on floor, unseen in the halls silent screaming in the stalls. They shrugged and made new jokes, this is what broke the cattle’s yoke. If they won’t listen to me, maybe I should create someone who can… [Pre-Chorus: soft, inquiry, hingepoint] Are there any vegetarians or vegans in comic-lore You answer back with the perfect median the perfect name: (Choir)Damian! [Chorus: strong declarative, urgency, haste] You gotta be shitting me— but it fits just right. Kid with the cow and the dog and the cat at night, turning the Manor into a little ‘zoo-lite!’ Damian is perfect; yeah, he’s due my wrath, for nearly killing Tim—I’ve been tracing that path. Years of wanting payback, now it’s in my hands— I’m writing this world. I say it stands [Bridge: manic excitement, sharp, gleeful, delusional, self aware, ego-driven] “I am not just some comedian, I am your wrathful god, Damian!” (change timbre)That is such a killer line!!! Seriously—so proud of that… did you see that insult barrage? (change timbre)oh my gawd! GENIUS, I say today! GENIUS—hear the crowd applaud, But… yeah. I do question the ethics of forcing a fifteen-year-old to inhale a line of glitter. That is… morally questionable. Then again, Damian wasn’t going to loosen up without it. And you know what else? I gave him an hour’s peace. I honestly can’t imagine how stressful it must be to be stuck inside that kid’s head all the time. [Final Chorus: starts strong and then winds down] One hour’s peace—that’s what I gave. It’s not wrong I pray. Rousseau is gone, glitter filling his curssid grave, that was some sideways slice of crooked grace. Killing Father Paul was justice, (choir)HATE HIS FACE! I’ve got the Or-keh-strah and the band “I’m writing this world. I say it stands” The Clown still laughs—he has to! I needed him—to be cruel I author the story, it won’t be beige or bland. Whatever! I’m writing this world. I say it stands… …even if it is a bit wobbly…
