I have been plagued with toothache It has been a dreadful week So sore was the offending tooth That the dentist I had to seek I had been feeling this discomfort For the last three days or more But my dentist she was busy With ailing patients galore I, was living on pain killers There was no end in sight And though they sympathised with me They couldn’t help me, with my plight Chorus: The pain the pain oh the pain The pain in my mouth was trmendous And it wasn’t the worst of my woes For my bad breath was horrendous Well, I got to the dentist and she took a look She said these teeth we can’t be saving Two top molars at the back of my mouth Both infected and decaying Take them out Take them out was what I said They have driven me to distraction The dentist smiled and said my dear They are ready for extraction And though I had some pain relief The extraction was traumatic The job was hard the teeth were too More than a little problematic [Musical Interlude] The dentist was skilled and did her job And I lived to tell the tale So never again will I put off the check When the appointment arrives in the mail Look after your teeth it is money well spent If you don’t want the pain and discomfit For if you neglect them and they decay You will surely know, you shouldn’t have done it.
