Rotisserated
Verse 1 Roooootissssserrrrieee... That's what my sister said to me, "I spend all night just turning round, No peaceful sleep is ever found." She sighed, "I'm like a pig on the spit, Round and round... bit by bit." I laughed and said, "Well, don't despair... You just described me lying there!" (Spoken) "Here we go again..." Pre-Chorus Back... (Nope!) Left... (Not there!) Belly... (Who invented this?) Right... (Oh, my hip!) Round and round the whole night through, Looking for a comfy view. Chorus Rotisserie... we've been rotisserated! Rolling through the night till we're well marinated. Back to the left, then over once more, Wake up facing the bedroom door! Is it old age, nice and slow? Does the blood forget to flow? Or are we ironing out the wrinkles, dear, One little turn for every year? Verse 2 Maybe we're smoothing every crease, Searching for five minutes' peace. Fill in a dimple, flatten a fold... Who knew sleeping could be this bold? Pillow here... blanket there... One leg dangling in the air. By sunrise we're completely done... And still haven't slept... not even one! (Spoken) "I should've just slept in the recliner!" Final Chorus Rotisserie... we've been rotisserated! Turning like a Sunday roast that's over-celebrated! Back... left... belly... right... Doing laps all through the night! One more turn... (Oh, here we go!) Will I stop? I just don't know! If you hear me squeak at half past three... Don't worry... it's just my rotisserie!
