[Original poetry by Aleksandar Berkuljan © 2024] [Dedication to Parents] [Intro] [1] Hands that built, and eyes that knew, A world of love they wove for you. Now shadows claim their weary gaze, We owe them smiles to light their days. A glance of care, a fleeting touch, To show they’re not alone so much. [Interlude] [2] Ask yourself why unrest stirs, Is time too weak, or memory blurs? For we are all they hold so dear, Our happiness they dream, year by year. Each step we take on life’s wide path Is laid on the ground for us they cleared. [3] They linger still, their love unspoken, A gentle bond that’s never broken. When they ask something, give them a hand, Don’t meet their gaze with anger or scorn, Even if they seem lost, tired, and worn. For our sake, they weathered all the storms. [Orchestral Interlude] [4] Remember this truth, and keep it near, They never left us alone in fear. Through life’s dark woods, they bore the load, And time won’t hide this sacred code. Fate turns the wheel, a circle unending, The story is one, though years keep blending. We’ll one day be what they have been, The echoes of love they left within. [Instrumental end]
