╔════════════════════════════════════╗ ║ WELCOME TO THE ARTHUR-VERSE · S2 ║ ╚════════════════════════════════════╝ Arthur is a self-created author and storm god. He believes he created this world. The City of Owl’s Walk (O.W.) — inspired by Gotham City — has become self-aware… and calls herself **Mother**. Arthur becomes trapped inside the **Hall of Memory**: a vast museum lined with interactive paintings, each one representing a defining moment in Owl’s Walk’s history. Each painting is a memory. Each memory can be entered. Each memory carries consequences that defined the city. Throughout this season, Arthur is guided by: • **Smokey Lois** — a sharp-tongued, time-keeping guide acting as Arthur’s tether back from memory. ──────────────────────────────────── **RULES OF THE HALL OF MEMORY** 🚫 Memories of O.W. must not be rewritten 🚫 Changing canon risks erasing the world 🚭 **NO SMOKING** 🚭 **NO VAPING** ✅ Orthodontic Benefits Available ──────────────────────────────────── 🚭💨📁 HALL INCIDENT REPORT · POLICY ENFORCEMENT 📁💨🚭 ──────────────────────────────────── In the aftermath of Jared’s death, Arthur breaks down in the Hall of Memory, looping his guilt while the Hall itself keeps replaying the loss. Smokey Lois doesn’t block him from another rewrite so much as name what already happened: Jared’s death was fixed, necessary to keep the night from collapsing, and never Arthur’s to undo. She makes it brutally clear that the boy’s fate wasn’t Arthur’s crime—while still acknowledging the one thing Arthur did right inside the van: he eased Jared’s fear and pain at the end. But the system has noticed. Mother audits the near-collapse, traces it back to Arthur’s vape-as-quill rewrite attempt, and patches reality with a new rule posted as signage inside the Hall: No Smoking. No Vaping. The update doesn’t just clamp down on Arthur’s coping habit—it severs the very substrate that Smokey Lois is made from. As her vapor form destabilizes, Lois spends her last seconds the only way she knows how: filing a demand with her “employer,” shouting for orthodontic benefits as she comes apart, then pointing Arthur to the new sign before her voice fractures. When the smoke clears, a single pearl hits marble—clink-clink-clink—and Arthur can only blink-blink-blink as the Hall makes it real: from this point in the Season 2 story, his vape-born tether is gone from his side. The Hall keeps humming. Mother’s rule holds. Arthur is left crying into empty air, begging a tether who can’t answer or swear. ──────────────────────────────────── ⚠️🚭🦷 POLICY UPDATED · VAPING DENIED 🦷🚭⚠️
[Verse 1 – urgent, haste, fast paced] In the Hall of Memory, Arthur cannot see. He just cry-cry-cries, drops to both his knees. Jared died-died-dies, echo in his head. Arthur cry-cry-cries, “It’s my fault he’s dead.” His smokey hokey friend brought his rewrite to an end. Arthur cry-cry-cries, ’cause Jared died-died-dies. “I killed him! He’s dead!” Arthur shouts, “You stopped me— why’d you stop me instead?” [Chorus- pulsing synths, driving rhythm, SuperEurobeat Dance power] Arthur cry-cry-cries, Jared died-died-dies. Arthur cry-cry-cries, ’cause Jared died-died-dies. Lois sighs while Arthur cries, Lois sighs while Arthur cries. Beat keeps spinning, flashing lights— Jared died-died-dies. [Verse 2 – Lois] “Stop,” she says, voice cold and flat, “That boy’s dead, and that is that. He was dead and meant to be, not your fault, you hear me? We’d all have been dead,” Lois says, calm, tight. “If Jared hadn’t died, we’d have lost the night. You gave that boy peace, you gave that boy release.” [Refrain – Hall] But Arthur cry-cry-cries, ’cause Jared died-died-dies. The rhythm never lies— Jared died-died-dies. [Bridge – Sign Change / Hall POV] Then the lights all glitch, something shifts in place. Arthur see-see-sees fear cross Lois’ face. “What’s happening to me?” Lois says, off-beat. “What’s happening to me?” Her voice repeats. She point-point-points to a bright new sign, Mother’s clocked the crime, patched the broken line. The vape’s to blame, It was the quill the urge to fight, to re-re-write—at will
And Lois Point-point-points to the hanging sign, letters burning in a hard straight line: [spoken – Hall / Sign Voice] “No smoking… No vaping…” [Drop – Lois fading] Smokey Lois fades, beat still stomps in place. She’s got one last thing to throw in Arthur’s face: “I want orthodontic benefits! Orthodontic benefits!” Her voice distorts, then slowly splits— “Dammit, Arthur… this is it.” One pearl drops—clink-clink-clink. Arthur blink-blink-blinks. And Smokey Lois is gone— just gone-gone-gone. No haze, no hum, no song— just gone-gone-gone. [Outro] Arthur stares at empty air, where Lois used to swear and swear. Hall lights hum, the frames stay still, Mother’s sign enforces will. Arthur cry-cry-cries, he can’t stop the rise. cry-cry-cry-cry-cry— no more alibis. [Spoken male voice – male vocalist, raw, sad, pained, spoken] Arthur cries, “Lois… please… no… come back. I’m sorry. I’m sorry. Lois… please… come back… Please come back…. I’m sorry… please…”
