Episode 8: This Rage is Mine (Arthur-verse)
╔════════════════════════════════════════════ ║ 📚 ARTHUR-VERSE · SEASON 1 · ISSUE FILE ╠════════════════════════════════════════════ ║ 🗂️ SET: ARTHUR-VERSE · S1 ║ 🎵 TRACK: Episode 8: This Rage Is Mine ║ 👥 CAST: Arthur / Tim Drake / The Clown (referenced) / Victims (referenced) ╠════════════════════════════════════════════ ║ 🎬 SYNOPSIS: This picks up soon after the theater massacre from "Episode 7: Clowning ║ Plagiarism." Bodies are cold. The city is quieter in that specific way that happens ║ after something unforgivable. The Clown is still laughing somewhere in the walls. ║ ║ Tim Drake finds out Arthur was involved and loses it. Tim comes at him like a hero ║ who still believes consequences matter. Arthur tries to do the god thing and dismiss ║ it, then realizes too late what’s happening. Tim doesn’t know he’s a pillar, though. ║ But Tim’s body does. In rage and grief, Tim starts siphoning Arthur’s Rage by accident. ║ He starts holding power that was never meant for him, and it turns his anger into a ║ runaway current. He swings at Arthur with the staff like the only solution is removal. ║ ║ Arthur is suddenly fighting for his life against the person he would have bled for. ║ He’s depowered, destabilized, and forced into the ugliest correction. He rips the Rage ║ back out of Tim violently because Tim is not the container for it. Tim seizes, gasps, ║ armor flickering. Arthur burns and shakes. It’s not rescue. It’s extraction. ║ ║ When it’s over, Tim leaves. Arthur is left in the alley alone, screaming apology into ║ rain. The lesson lands like a bruise. Arthur cannot offload his rage into someone else, ║ even by accident. Nobody else should be made to carry what is his alone to bear. ║ ║ 🛋️ THERAPIST NOTE: This is the first true rupture between Arthur and Tim, and it’s ║ inevitable. Tim’s morality is not performative. He’s furious because people died and ║ Arthur treated it like theater. Arthur panics because Tim’s anger threatens the one ║ bond he can’t tolerate losing. ║ ║ The siphoning is the important mechanic. Tim doesn’t “turn evil.” He gets flooded. ║ He becomes the wrong battery for the wrong current, and the only way Arthur can stop ║ the cascade is to take back what never belonged in Tim’s body. Arthur’s apology is ║ real, but it’s also too late. Once you make someone feel your Rage, you don’t get to ║ control what it teaches them. ║ ║ 🩺 FILED IMPRESSION: Moral injury collision with power transference and loss of ║ impulse control (Tim); Panic-driven reclamation through violent containment ║ (Arthur). ╚════════════════════════════════════ [Intro] Slice. Slice. Slice. Bodies cold. The city cries. No one’s home. [Verse 1] The theater drowned in copper air, Every throat cut clean in dark despair. No fight, no struggle—only applause, The Jester’s mask— but something’s wrong. HAHAHAAHAAHAHAAA! [Chorus] This rage is mine! Not yours to steal! It won’t be fine, It breaks the seal. I TAKE IT BACK! I RECLAIM IT! Rain and fire— You cannot chain it! [Verse 2] Tim knows the truth. Then fists collide. “They had LIVES!” Tim’s anger cried. Arthur shouts: “They were not real!” Red snaps back: “Then why do I feel?” [spoken] No. Tim. You weren’t meant to hold this. STOP!! [Chorus] This rage is mine! Not yours to steal! It won’t be fine, It breaks the seal. I TAKE IT BACK! I RECLAIM IT! Rain and fire— You cannot chain it! [Spoken: shouted] Don’t do this! [Verse 3 – violent reclaiming] Tim’s Staff comes down, the sky turns black. Arthur roars, his bones all crack. Turquoise fire splits the rain, A tether ripped through Tim’s own pain. He seizes, gasps, the essence torn. His armor flickers, rage forlorn. Arthur’s hands both burn and shake. The stolen fire he must retake. [Spoken word: dramatic] I’m sorry. I didn’t mean to hurt you. [Chorus III] This rage is mine! Not yours to wield! It scars the heart, It will not heal! I TAKE IT BACK! I RECLAIM IT! Rain and fire— You cannot chain it! [Finale] “I’m so sorry.” Sorry. Sorry. THE RAGE IS MINE! AAAAAAHHHHHH!!!!
