Born from the ashes
[intro] Born from the ashes You were born from the ashes Of this cruel, cruel world [verse 1] Watching the world burn since you were born It's not a good thing to learn The innocence in your mind, the innocence when you smile Oh what horrors and pain it must hide [verse 2] You don't understand what's going on in here You can't see them suffer everywhere You'll stay an innocent little thing If we manage our sheltering [chorus] Born from the ashes You were born from the ashes Of this cruel, cruel world I don't believe in anything but evil is a real thing I know it to be true, unfortunately one day So will you [verse 3] That deep trauma inside of you, I wish I truly knew But your armor hard as stone makes me think that it is gone And your heart so sweet as gold Some stories are better left untold [bridge] Lost your home You didn't know you had So maybe The loss for you It wasn't so bad [chorus] Born from the ashes You were born from the ashes Of this cruel, cruel world I don't believe in anything but evil is a real thing I know it to be true, unfortunately one day So will you I know it to be true and so will you!

I like that you've related many thoughts that are found in so many of us. Not that we would vocalize them, but the sense of foreboding is "there" in most of us. In those who understand where we are going as a civilization. How many realize that two wealthy men are conspiring to destroy us, with their end game being to literally charge a fortune to hop a rocket ship to Mars? With those remaining to just perish slowly.
