[Intro] (Ukulele plays a dreamy, slightly warped "over the rainbow" melody) (Soft 808 pulse, stuttering vocal sample: goth chick… goth chick… somewhere…) [Verse 1] Somewhere over the rainbow, way up high There's a goth chick waiting with black wings in the sky She's got a corset laced with moonlight, boots up to her thighs And she only shows emotion when the moon begins to rise I've been chasing sunsets just to find her silhouette Every rainbow ends in her shadow, that's the safest bet She doesn't need a pot of gold, she's got a coffin full of dreams And she'll love you in the graveyard where the light is never clean [Pre-Chorus] She's somewhere on top of the goth chick, that's where I wanna be Lying in the clover while she whispers spells at me Why am I so drawn to her? Why do I climb so high? Because the view is perfect when she's the one against the sky [Chorus] Somewhere on top of the goth chick, over the rainbow's bend Where the black lace meets the clouds and the night will never end We'll dance upon the storm clouds, we'll kiss beneath the moon Somewhere on top of the goth chick, I'll be there soon Somewhere on top of the goth chick, I'm learning how to fly With a dark-eyed angel who's not afraid to make me cry Over the rainbow, under her spell Somewhere on top of the goth chick, I'm falling into hell And I love it [Verse 2] She's got a collection of the stars, but she only wears the black She's been waiting for a dreamer who won't ever turn his back I found her in a field of poppies, where the rainbow meets the grave She said, "I've been waiting for a boy who isn't afraid of the wave" So I took her pale hand, and we rose above the storm She showed me all the beauty that the darkness can perform Now every color in the sky just looks like shades of gray But I don't need the prism when she's kissing me that way [Pre-Chorus] She's somewhere on top of the goth chick, that's where I wanna be Lying in the clover while she whispers spells at me Why am I so drawn to her? Why do I climb so high? Because the view is perfect when she's the one against the sky [Chorus] Somewhere on top of the goth chick, over the rainbow's bend Where the black lace meets the clouds and the night will never end We'll dance upon the storm clouds, we'll kiss beneath the moon Somewhere on top of the goth chick, I'll be there soon Somewhere on top of the goth chick, I'm learning how to fly With a dark-eyed angel who's not afraid to make me cry Over the rainbow, under her spell Somewhere on top of the goth chick, I'm falling into hell And I love it [Bridge] (Stripped back, dreamy ukulele, delivery turns soft) If the bluebirds ever ask me why I'm flying past their nest I'll just point up to the goth chick with her hand upon my chest There's no place like home, but home's a haunted sky And the only rainbow that I need is the one inside her eyes Somewhere over the rainbow, there's a girl who wears the night And she's waiting for a lover who will hold her in the light [Final Chorus] (Full energy, gang vocals on "goth chick") Somewhere on top of the goth chick, over the rainbow's bend Where the black lace meets the clouds and the night will never end We'll dance upon the storm clouds, we'll kiss beneath the moon Somewhere on top of the goth chick, I'll be there soon Somewhere on top of the goth chick, I'm learning how to fly With a dark-eyed angel who's not afraid to make me cry Over the rainbow, under her spell Somewhere on top of the goth chick, I'm falling into hell And I love it [Outro] (Ukulele fades, stuttering vocal sample: goth chick… over the rainbow…) (One soft 808 pulse, then silence)
