Tabaxi-Dreamleaf
[Intro] From tangled vines and moonlit glades, The Dreamleaf blooms in secret shades, Plucked by paws in fevered haste, Then chewed or smoked to leave no trace. It whispers deep within the mind, Where dreams and laughter intertwine, A leap through time, a twist of fate— Tabaxi high and feeling great! [Verse 1 – Whispers-at-Dusk] Whispers-at-Dusk declared the stars Were mice escaped from heaven’s jars. He leapt through flames and called it fate, While licking moss off temple slate. He thought he'd solved the moon’s true name, While wrestling shadows in a frame. In truth, he meowed into a shoe, Then passed out purring in some glue. [Verse 2 – Sniffs-the-Wind] Sniffs-the-Wind proclaimed the breeze Had whispered ancient tabaxi keys. He chased a gust through market stalls, Then tried to climb invisible walls. He claimed he'd mapped the scent of time, By rolling in fermented lime. But folks recall he tripped on a rock, And tried to steal the baker's clock. [Verse 3 – Claws-in-Dreams] Claws-in-Dreams let out a roar, Then boxed the air and licked the floor. He said he'd fought a thunder beast, And dined with ghosts at jungle feast. He swung his claws through unseen foes, While tangled deep in laundry throws. Most say he fought a passing goose, Then bit a bush and screamed "Zeus loose!" [Verse 4 – Jumps-on-Sky] Jumps-on-Sky climbed up a tree, To duel the clouds and set them free. He roared, “I’ve tamed the comet’s tail!” Then fell into a cabbage pail. He swore he'd juggled balls of flame— They were, in fact, just fruit by name. When dragged back down, he proudly said, “The moon surrendered. I am wed.” [Verse 5 – Watches-Moon-Melt] Watches-Moon-Melt stared for hours At puddles filled with wilting flowers. He claimed he’d seen the dawn give birth, And spoke the spell to bend the earth. He hummed a tone to charm the breeze, While chewing on some beeswax cheese. He mostly drooled and blinked too slow, And shouted, “I can smell the snow!” [Verse 6 – Echoes-on-Stone] Echoes-on-Stone sat in a pot, And said he'd learned what mortals “knot.” He claimed the vines had sung his name, Then taught him how to dodge all blame. He traced the Thread with noble flair— Right up a sleeping merchant’s hair. He scribbled runes in soup with pride, Then licked the bowl and loudly cried. [Outro] Now they stagger through the jungle’s haze, With tails in knots and minds ablaze. The Dreamleaf fades, but still they’ll say, “We’ve touched the stars—just yesterday!” And though the jungle knows the truth, It lets them dream, uncaring, loose. For when you're high on Dreamleaf's kiss, Reality is just a twist.
