I'm a boar! Not a pig. Boars are feral, strong, fur coated, & valiant animals depicted in mythology around the world as a "worthy opponent" in most cases, sometimes as a creator deity. Boars are celebrated or even revered. Warriors wear armor featuring boar to gain our ferocity and battle strength. In some cultures their word for boar is bestowed on sons with stubborn attitudes, ferocious natures, & reckless behaviors. A pig is a domestic farm animal. Pigs are universally recognized for two attributes: eating anything, and being delicious. Since the 1500's policemen (and other authority figures) have been called pigs for their greedy & dirty (corrupt) nature. Pigs are fat, soft, nearly bald, selfish, slovenly creatures. There are almost 0 pigs featured in world mythology, though are prominent in European allegory representing bankers, politicians, police, & lazy gluttons. Nobody wore a pig helmet into battle ever. Nobody names their son pig, as that would be humiliating psychological abuse. I'll say it again. I am a boar, not a pig. We may be related, but we couldn't be more different. Boar are badass wild symbols of aggression, persistence, good fortune, strength, & fertility. Pigs are lame-ass domestic symbols of greed, filth, corruption, gluttony, degeneracy, & food. Calling a boar a pig is ignorant slander at best and at worst willful contempt. I am a wild beast. A fiery warrior, bold & stubborn to a fault. Not a domestic, greedy, dirty, fat, yard animal whose only redeeming quality is being delicious fried. So, unless you're trying to pick a fight, don't call me a fuckin' pig.
