My Lost Umbrella

[Verse] I left it by the coffee stand A little blue with a crooked band The rain came down I waved my hand No cab No luck Just soggy land [Prechorus] I thought I'd be fine Thought I'd be dry But the sky just laughed No alibi [Chorus] Where’s my umbrella My lost umbrella Dancing in the storm I'm a wet Cinderella Where’s my umbrella My lost umbrella Guess I’m chasing clouds like a wild novella [Verse 2] It might be stuck in a subway seat Or spinning free on a busy street Maybe it’s found a new retreat With someone else It’s bittersweet [Prechorus] I thought I’d stay cool Thought I’d stay bold But this drizzle’s turning my style to old [Chorus] Where’s my umbrella My lost umbrella Dancing in the storm I'm a wet Cinderella Where’s my umbrella My lost umbrella Guess I’m chasing clouds like a wild novella
