Birth [NDC, w. 40]

[Intro] Cathedral of flesh Veiled in red water [Verse 1 – Stillness] Soft walls, soft drums A mother’s heart thunder Umbilical river Iron and dream Amniotic night Silk around a stone No seasons, no sky Only blood tide [Pre-Chorus] I am the pearl Sealed in stillness Waiting for the crack of time [Chorus] The red cathedral trembles Waters surge like torn silk Light rips the curtain The clock ignites Stillness fractures Time spills open [Verse 2 – The After] My lungs flare open Two roses in frost The hush is gone Iron bells awaken Skin to air Darkness to glare I fall into the world [Outro] And stillness Is broken forever
