(Heavy drum and horn – stomping 4/4 rhythm) In ancient halls where storm-gods thunder, Where mead flows red as blood in war, Sing now the tale of Tyr the Steadfast, One-handed lord of iron law. Chorus Hail Tyr! One-Handed King! Wolf-Bane! Oath-Ward! Breaker of fetters, bearer of scars— Battle-fire burns in your eyes like stars! From Asgard’s gold he strode undaunted, Bold son of Odin, steadfast, true. When Fenrir’s hunger shook the heavens, Only Tyr dared face the beast he knew. The wolf swelled vast as winter’s fury, With fangs like blades and eyes of flame. Yet Tyr thrust forth his sword-hand bravely Into that maw of death and pain. The dwarven chain gleamed soft as silk-thread, Yet stronger than the roots of stone. When Fenrir felt the fetter binding, His howls of rage shook heaven’s throne. Chorus Hail Tyr! One-Handed King! Wolf-Bane! Oath-Ward! Breaker of fetters, bearer of scars— Battle-fire burns in your eyes like stars! Then Fenrir’s jaws crashed shut like thunder, Black blood spilled on the binding plain. Yet Tyr stood tall and laughed through torment, Unbroken, laughing in the pain. No cry he gave, no plea he uttered, No curse he cast on beast or fate. For honor weighs more than flesh or bone, More than fear and death’s cold gate. Now Fenrir writhes in shadowed binding, Chained until the dark sky cracks. And Tyr will march when Ragnarök is calling, Beneath the final battle-axe. He guards the spear and holds the oath-ring, He weighs the truth from every lie. No false tongue thrives beneath his watch-fire, No craven heart escapes his eye. Chorus Hail Tyr! One-Handed King! Wolf-Bane! Oath-Ward! Breaker of fetters, bearer of scars— Battle-fire burns in your eyes like stars! Final Chorus (all voices, drums rising) Hail Tyr! One-Handed King! Tyr! Tyr! Let the anthems ring! In fire, in frost, in war’s red flame— We stand and fight in Tyr’s great name! Skål!
