Gearwound - Fragmented

I’m barely holding the strings of reality together. I close my eyes and I still see the silence enclosing. Shadows of myself, fractured in static mirrors, A thousand broken faces all asking me who I am. I don’t know what’s real, I don’t know where I end. I can’t stop this spiral. I can’t find the floor. Every thought I touch dissolves into more. Losing the shape of me, losing the sound of my name. What was whole is coming apart again. The walls are humming, a low electric fever. I scratch the surface, but the skin just peels away. Noise in my veins, a signal that eats itself. I fade into static, my body, a broken transmission. I don’t know what’s real, I don’t know where I end. I’m breaking down. I can’t stop this spiral. I can’t find the floor. Every thought I touch dissolves into more. Losing the shape of me, losing the sound of my name. What was whole is coming apart again. I can’t focus, the walls keep moving. I talk to myself, but the words don’t make sense. I count the cracks, they multiply, I feel the hands, they pull me deep. The floor gives out, the ceiling caves in. I can’t escape the noise under my skin. Nothing is real. Nothing is real. Nothing is real. (and I feel nothing at all) I don’t know what’s real, I don’t know where I end… I can’t stop this spiral. I can’t find the floor. Every thought I touch dissolves into more. Losing the shape of me, losing the sound of my name. What was whole is coming apart again. Pulling apart, pulling apart…
