In the deepest corners of my mind There's a tenant I know Been vacant for years But never really let go Like a spare room in a haunted house That I sealed long, long ago Where the dust stays untouched In paths only I know But the distance I kept Between me and that door Grows shorter each evening I got this The hinges are creaking Though I've kept, oh I kept them oiled And the locks that I trusted Are coming un-un-uncoiled The space beneath doors And all of my barriers Begin to expose I think I got this I know that I'll be fine But I'm not sure if I'm strong enough To do it on my own this time
