[Intro] Time for a bath! Let me turn on the water. [Verse 1] The sun is pouring through the kitchen blind I am cutting up an apple and a slice of lime Scrubbing the dirt from your fluffy coat We are sailing the bathtub like a little boat Shaking off the bubbles everywhere Droplets flying through the morning air [Chorus] Taking care of you is my favorite thing Listening to the birds start to sing We walk to the playground and chase a ball Catching you gently every time you fall Growing up together day by day I will always be here to guide the way [Verse 2] Stopping by the hospital to heal a cold Wrapping you in blankets as the stories are told You close your eyes and drift into a dream Floating along a quiet forest stream I will stay right here until you awake With a fresh glass of milk and a piece of cake [Chorus] Taking care of you is my favorite thing Listening to the birds start to sing We walk to the playground and chase a ball Catching you gently every time you fall Growing up together day by day I will always be here to guide the way [Outro] Sweet dreams, little one. Rest now.
