[Verse 1] In a crack in the dirt We built our own sky One crumb at a time With a spark in our eyes A seed for a supper A leaf for a roof Little legs moving fast Got a whole world to prove [Pre-Chorus] And the ants keep marching Side by side Tiny hands, big hearts We don’t hide [Chorus] It’s a bug’s life We run this place It’s a bug’s life Small but brave Under the grass We make our way It’s a bug’s life Every day (every day) [Verse 2] A beetle rolled by With a laugh like a drum A spider spun silk Like a promise to come We dodged the rain drops Like thunder in flight Still we kept on singing Till the dark turned bright [Pre-Chorus] And the ants keep marching Side by side Tiny hands, big hearts We don’t hide [Chorus] It’s a bug’s life We run this place It’s a bug’s life Small but brave Under the grass We make our way It’s a bug’s life Every day (every day) [Bridge] When the boot comes down We move as one When the night feels huge We become the sun One for the colony Two for the dream A hundred little voices In a seven-spot stream [Chorus] It’s a bug’s life We run this place It’s a bug’s life Small but brave Under the grass We make our way It’s a bug’s life Every day (every day)
