You glowed like a beacon of light Always in God graces you were a sight Standing for whats right in a world full of wrongs We will write bout you in poetry and songs You gave your life to God first and foremost Now you stand with the almighty Holy Ghost You had morals, ethics and virtue That’s The Hero I Knew You stood your ground you made your point clear All this you did without a smear With class and style you talked it through Left or right didn’t matter to you You gave your life to God first and foremost Now you stand with the almighty Holy Ghost You had morals, ethics and virtue That’s The Hero I Knew A family man through and through We will move the world for you Through example and faith you set us straight All the way to heavens gates You gave your life to God first and foremost Now you stand with the almighty Holy Ghost You had morals, ethics and virtue That’s The Hero I Knew You will be remembered through time As the one left too early in his prime We will not back down we will not cower From God above we have the power You gave your life to God first and foremost Now you stand with the almighty Holy Ghost You had morals, ethics and virtue That’s The Hero I Knew
