A river runs Soft and slow The field hums where the wildflowers grow A rowan tree stands Its branches wide Holding dreams Where secrets hide Tie a ribbon Make it true Red for love Green for new The wind will carry what you can’t see To the heart of the rowan tree Bare feet dance in the meadow’s glow Laughter rises Then falls low The tree leans Whispers old and wise Promises linger under endless skies The river knows It always flows The tree keeps what the heart sows Tie a ribbon Make it true Blue for hope Gold for you The wishes hang like melody In the arms of the rowan tree Will it break Will it bend Does the tree know where wishes end Do they rise Do they stay Does the wind take them away
