We speak of fear, but not the kind that hides It’s wonder in the presence of the Most High A trembling heart before Your holy name Knowing we are small, yet loved the same Your wisdom echoes through the years Calling through our doubts and fears Above the world, above our pride You teach us how our souls should rise When we see Your greatness shine It becomes easier to place You first in our lives Fear in wonder, awe in light Standing humbled in Your sight You guide the steps we cannot see Through truth and holy legacy From the wisdom passed along Through every prayer and every song Your love reminds us who we are Your beloved children near and far The Book of Proverbs softly speaks Truth the restless heart still seeks Listen to the voices near The ones who loved us through the years Parents teaching what they know Faith that helps our spirits grow Showing how a life can be Rooted in grace and fidelity Though we thought they knew too little then Their wisdom comes alive again Fear in wonder, awe in light Standing humbled in Your sight You guide the steps we cannot see Through truth and holy legacy From the wisdom passed along Through every prayer and every song Your love reminds us who we are Your beloved children near and far Teach us love, teach us grace Teach us how to seek Your face Open eyes to what You gave The promise of a soul You save Pass the faith from heart to heart That’s where every journey starts Let our lives and words proclaim The glory of Your holy name Fear in wonder, awe in light Walking forward in Your sight We lift our voices, strong and clear Knowing You are always near Through the lessons we receive Through the faith we still believe We will carry truth and love As children of our God above May our words and lives be strong Faithful to the Lord alone Passing on the light we see For every soul and family
