Verse 1 When morning spills its gentle light My waking soul is stirred to life Let Jesus’ name be lifted high In every day be glorified Verse 2 In quiet work and hidden care In lifted hands and whispered prayer Through common hours or sacrifice Be glorified, O Christ, my life Verse 3 When joy is near and burdens press When peace is full or faith feels less Still on my lips and in my heart Be lifted high in every part Verse 4 And when the evening shadows fall You have been near through it all So with my last awakeful sight I bless Your name into the night
