Love is rising from inside, and there's nobody in the room. Two cups sitting on the counter and I only filled the one. (only ever one) I'm full of love, I'm full of light, with nowhere left to let it land. (nowhere to land) Three in the morning, rain still going, all this love and nobody calling. I'm full of love that keeps on rising, with nowhere left to go but me. (comes right back to me, yeah) I walk through beautiful things alone, hands open, nothing in them. (nothing in them...) Love is rising from inside like a tide I can't hold back. It keeps knocking on my ribs, asking is there anybody there. (anybody there) I'm spilling over in the quiet, no other hands to meet my own. (empty hands) Sun goes down on the kitchen table and my heart still lifts like it's expecting somebody. I'm full of love that keeps on rising, with no one here to take the overflow. (just the overflow...) Carrying it through the world alone, and God, it's heavy for a good thing. (so heavy, this good thing) And maybe I'm the one who locked it, maybe I've been careful way too long. It's easier to ache for nobody than to hand it to somebody and be wrong. (and be wrong...) The love I carry stays alive even when it's only mine. (just mine) It doesn't disappear when no one's listening, it just finds its own way home. (back to the chest... back home) Love keeps rising. (keeps on, keeps on rising) Love. (my love...)
