07 A Bethlehem Dawn - Flight into Egypt - BY S.L.G V.01
Verse 1 (English) Under the cover of night’s silent veil, A family flees with the wind in their sail. To deserts unknown, to lands far away, A whisper of danger, they cannot delay. Chorus (Coptic and English) Ⲁⲡⲟⲧⲉ ⲛⲉⲛⲁⲑⲁⲓⲛ ⲉⲣⲟⲛ, “God will protect us,” the promise holds true. From Bethlehem’s cries to the Nile’s embrace, Hope finds a refuge in mercy’s safe place. Verse 2 (English) Footsteps on sand where the pharaohs once reigned, A Child of salvation through exile ordained. Angels keep watch as they journey afar, Guiding their path by a hidden star. Bridge (English) Prophets once spoke of Egypt’s domain, “Out of Egypt I called My Son,” remains. A land of exile, a land of the past, Shelters the hope that forever will last. Outro (English) Through valleys of fear, where shadows persist, Love crosses borders where kingdoms resist. In Egypt’s embrace, a promise takes flight, The Savior protected by mercy’s pure light.
