Sabbath Song:,Rescued from Unfinished Work ©️ 2026 Michael Ledner

[Intro] [strummed acoustic guitar] [Verse 1] [male vocals enter] We've come to the Sabbath table with family and friends Knowing that the week is done [guitar slap] It's time to enter into the Sabbath rhythm To Rest from work and even have some fun [Chorus] We light the candles and say a Sabbath prayer Breaking bread with loved ones who are there For the next full day, all work will cease It's time for rest, for joy and for peace [Verse 2] To slow down and enjoy the little things that pass us by The flowers and the trees, the birds in the sky To really notice the faces of your loved ones and friends To be thankful for this beautiful life that never ends [Chorus] For all the work that you finished in six days The Sabbath is not your reward The Sabbath is how we are rescued from unfinished work Rescued by our gracious Lord [Instrumental Break] [clarinet solo with melodic lead lines] [Verse 3] How bless'd it is to sit at a Sabbath table meal The week is now behind you and now you begin to feel A peace as if you had stepped into a day In the kingdom to come and now all you want to say Sabbath is here let us put our cares away [Chorus] Sabbath is God's gift to us, it's one of His best Six days we get to work and one day we get to rest Stepping into the rhythm of Sabbath the soul is truly blessed [Outro] For all the work you finished in six days The Sabbath is not your reward The Sabbath is how we are rescued from unfinished work Rescued by our gracious Lord [final guitar strum]
