Angels we have heard on high, sweetly singing over the plains, and the mountains in reply, echoing their joyous strains, "Glory to God in the highest! Glory to God on high!" Shepherds, why this jubilee? Why your joyous strains prolong? What the glad-some tidings be which inspire your heavenly song? "Glory to God in the highest! Glory to God on high!" From above to earth God gives a Savior blest and sin forgives, and to sinners who believe, life eternal shall receive, "Glory to God in the highest! Glory to God on high!" Come ro Bethlehem and see Him whose birth the angels sing, Come adore, on bended knee, Christ the Lord, thr newborn king. "Glory to God in the highest! Glory to God on high!"
